Route Description:

Beginning our bike tour at the summit of the A84 pass between Lochearnhead and Killin, we join the route of the dismantled Callander to Oban railway. The cycle begins with a very pleasant downhill ride along some of the Britain's most scenic, traffic free cycle path with stunning views of mountains and the glen below. We soon arrive at our lunch stop where you can enjoy a hearty meal at the award winning Mhor 84.

Fed and watered, we cycle on a quiet country road to the historic village of Balquhidder. Situated on the banks of Loch Voil, Balquhidder is best known for it's association with Rob Roy, Scotland's most prolific outlaw, where he is buried at the local churchyard. There is also a famous viewpoint around a 15 minute optional walk from the village, where clan chiefs would rally their soldiers for battle.

Back on the bikes, we continue our journey travels along a cycle route through the Strathyre forest, with its ancient trees covered in lichen and dripping with moss. Arriving in the village of Strathyre, the final leg of our tour completes a loop back to our lunch stop, where you can have a well earned refreshment, while we ready your vehicle for the return journey home.
